yesterday was the downtown LA artwalk they have every second saturday of the month. i've never seen downtown filled and crawling with that many people before, crazy energy and movement. there were food trucks everywhere, people selling weird cool things, sketchy bake sales on the street, and old men handing out flowers. you literally pay for parking ($5) or if you get lucky, find street parking and all the galleries open are free, street vendors everywhere selling old vintage-y mexican native american things. frankly there were a lot of weird looking people but i loved the hodgepodge of people there. no doubt in my mind that i'm going back every month.
