one expresso double shot and a bag of salt and vinegar kettle chips later and i'm wide awake, wired on caffeine. i don't think i've stayed up this late to study for a really long time, it's kind of refreshing. being awake at this hour of the night, you notice weird subtleties that you didn't notice before; things like the automated elevator voice declaring that it's arrived on the 5th floor every hour or so even though nobody called for it to come, the incredibly annoying sound of the refrigerator running, and the random shrieks coming from outside. honestly, i'm probably just incredibly wired and delirious at this point, my butt hurts from sitting down for seven hours straight, and my back gets more and more slouched as time passes.
i think i'll take a picture of what my desk looks like at 4 in the morning.
