3.8.10 11:30am

if you've ever lost something that's near and dear to your heart, you'll understand where i'm coming from in this post. my dog Snow of 13 years left this morning at 11:30am. She was really sick and only had a couple months max to live. i've been pretty down for the past two weeks, kind of shocked at how hard reality came crashing down on me that everything and everyone has its time, that nothing on this earth lasts forever. i've been trying to stay strong, not showing how i was feeling by avoiding seeing people, posting up in my dorm room for most of the time, and going home as early as possible. it's hard to know how to deal with a situation like this, especially when you're away from home because you want to just lie in bed and cry like no one is listening, but too bad your roommates are right there.. listening.
i went home this afternoon wanting to spend time with my family and the most heart breaking part of this whole experience was driving into our driveway seeing and empty dog house and an empty play area where your friend, your baby used to be waiting every day for you to come home.
but i am so grateful and so blessed that i have friends who are so caring and thoughtful-who continually ask how i'm doing and if i'm okay. seriously every consoling text, call, or message i've gotten has really been so important and special for me; God is so gracious! so thank you everyone who is helping me get through this tough time, i really love you guys and am so thankful for you.
as for now, i will try to be stronger, i will try to remember that Snow is in a better place, i will turn my mourning into happiness for God is good. Thank you guys<3 I love you Snow.
