"three more years, three more years"

can't wait until 21! funny because my dad told me when i turn 21, he'll not only let me go to vegas, but in fact he'll SEND me to vegas to go with friends! hahaha who'd a thunk it.

today was an extremely lazy day as erica and i got up at 11:30am and went downstairs with the fam to Tintoretto Bakery and Restaurant for some good italian food and crazy desserts! afterwards, we felt so full all we wanted to do was go to the pool floor and layout until we had to go to the Red Rocks. much to our dismay, it was overcast and SUPER windy.. didn't get any sunlight and we're still that same disgustingly pale color.

afterwards, we headed to Red Rock Canyons. it's hard to believe that natural beauty sits only 30minutes outside of the vegas strip. think about the smoky air, lights, and alcohol RIGHT next to a grand, natural rock formation. kind of weird. there is a 13 mile loop that goes right through the Red Rock Canyons where you can just drive through and stop at the look out areas. being put next to such a huge natural force made me realize how small and insignificant we are and how wonderful our Maker is. it really amazes me to think that things like this exist in our world, all created by our God but we're too isolated and comfortable in our little La Canada/La Crescenta bubble to go out and explore all of the crazy things He's created.

coming back from Red Rock Canyons, we were starving and had dinner at none other than Hot N' Juicy again... i don't think i want to go to another Boiling Crab-ish place for another six months. but being the wee's, of course we had to get dessert so we walked to this place called "Serendipity" that is pretty well known in New York for their food and desserts-especially their frozen hot chocolate. it was kind of a disappointment i must admit, but not bad.

then back home tomorrow.
