on our way

i am continuing to discover that i am still in the process of uncovering who i really am. there are so many different aspects of myself that seem to collide with one another and that makes it quite difficult to differentiate which is which. they say that life is a journey of discovering one's identity, who they really are underneath the layers we put up but does that mean that we won't know for certain until the end? i hope not. i have realized that since departing from high school and entering this whole new world called "college", i am no longer watching what i say, being completely conscious of my actions, having a heart of thankfulness and a "no strings attached" kind of love towards other people. am i just trying to please those around me and conform to whatever set of ideals and standards they have laid out? have i lost the desire, if not the ability to stay true to who i hope to be or hope to become? am i forgetting to live my life after and for the One who gives life and all things? i hope not. this process of discovery is a long, difficult, and sometimes regressive process but eventually, one day, we'll make it to the end and find out the answer to all of our "unanswerable" questions.

  1. i just read a book:
    http://www.amazon.com/Just-Do-Something-Decision-Without/dp/0802458386/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1268443767&sr=8-1

you should think about reading it...it really focuses on deciphering the will of God in your life and is pretty blunt.
